Facility Use Request¶
Silver Hill Memorial UMC is glad to make our facility available for weddings, receptions, meetings, classes, recitals, and other events that align with our mission. Use this page to submit a request online — the church office will review your request and follow up to confirm availability, fees, and next steps.
A $120.00 deposit is required for all facility use requests (excludes Silver Hill Ministries).
Before you submit¶
Please take a moment to review these items — you'll be asked to acknowledge them as part of your request.
Safe Sanctuary Policy acknowledgement required
All individuals and groups using our facility must read and abide by our Safe Sanctuary Policy. This policy protects children, youth, and vulnerable adults during any activity held on church property.
Liability waiver
The use of the facility and all equipment will be at the risk of the participant(s). Silver Hill Memorial UMC does not assume liability or responsibility for any injury to anyone in the facility. Silver Hill Memorial UMC does not make any express or implied warranty of the premises, the equipment, or fixtures.

An additional $90.00 set-up fee applies to any event for which the church sets up tables, chairs, kitchen, sound system, etc.

Honorariums¶
- Director's Fee: $180.00 (directing) · $50.00 (consultation with non-member director)
- Organist: Negotiate personally and make check payable to the organist.
- Minister's Honorarium: Negotiate personally. For weddings, the minister's honorarium should be discussed at the time of premarital counseling and planning.
Important scheduling notes¶
- Saturday events in the Sanctuary must end by 2:00 PM to allow adequate cleanup time for Sunday morning worship.
- The latest end time for any event is 12:00 midnight.
- You are responsible for returning the room to its original condition at the end of your rental.
- Wedding rehearsals are included in the cost of the Sanctuary and are typically held the day before the wedding (3-hour limit).
- For events on multiple occasions, the initial event fee must be paid prior to using the facility.
- TBD pricing is determined by the Board of Trustees on a case-by-case basis.
Approval process¶
After you submit a request:
- The church office reviews your request and confirms receipt.
- The Board of Trustees considers the request and either approves, denies, or asks for additional information.
- Once approved, you'll receive a confirmation along with payment instructions and any setup details.
- Your $120.00 deposit (where applicable) reserves the date.
